Hey
Heres whats happening with Iron trail to the Arctic.
The traveling group will leave Houston Texas around the 1st of June. First stop will be near Clarendon Texas for a pour at Jack Crafts Ranch .
Next stop will be the Western cast Iron conference June 2-8 In Denver Colorado.
From there the trucks will proceed to Alaska, and on to the Village of Wiseman, approximately 50 miles above the Arctic Circle. We will pour Iron in Wiseman on June 21st which is summer solstice. On that day the sun will not drop below the horizon for 24 hrs.
From Wiseman we will travel to the towns of Wasilla and Palmer in the Matanuska- Susitna Valley. Mold making workshops will be held in Palmer and on the 28th of June we will pour iron at the Alaska Museum of Transportation and Industry in Wasilla. The pour will be part of an Art festival called Art on Fire and will feature demonstrations by artists who use fire to create their art.
The following week we will be holding workshops in the city of Kenai Alaska. We will hold 2 days of mold workshops and on the 4th of July we will pour iron at the city's multi purpose building . This pour will be part of the city of Kenai's 4th of July celebration.
Mold making workshops are $150. we are trying to keep pieces small this first year so they should be able to fit in a 1ft square box.
