I am pouring iron with my tlc (trusty little cupola) on July 18, 2009 in conjuntion with the Fire Arts Festival at the Crucible in Oakland, CA.  This is part of a multiple week sand workshop, but it is my understanding that you can come with molds for the pour weekend only (I think the fee is $50 for iron and coke and entrance to the performances - but won't swear on that one!).  As far as I am concerned all are welcome, so bring your gear!  Mid-sized sand molds or small shells are best.  We have a 85-100 pound tap with a 7-10 minute turn around (double taps are usually fast enough to do larger pieces). We will prep Friday afternoon/eve, pour Saturday afternoon/eve and clean up Sunday morning.

ping me, Laura West, west-art@msn.com for more information
you can also check out the Crucibles website at www.thecrucible.org
or my site at www.westsculpturestudio.com

The pour will be like all pours, a blast, but the fire arts festival is not to be missed if you are anywhere near!  Hope to see you there.
